Outback Grid Tie Inverters

Outback GTFX Inverters

Designed for either stand-alone or utility-interactive applications, Outback's new generation of power inverter is rated from 2000 watts to a continuous output of up to 3600 Watts depending on the model. Each GTFX inverter/charger is a complete power conversion system, comprising a DC to AC inverter, a battery charger and an AC transfer switch. Outback gives you the flexibility to design your system to meet any specific power requirement. Up to eight GTFXs can be connected (stacked) in a variety of series/parallel configurations for 120 VAC, 240 VAC (split phase) or 120 & 208 VAC (three phase) output for a total of 16,000 watts of AC power! A 50 Hz export version is available for 230 VAC or 230 & 400 VAC (three phase) applications.

The GTFX is designed to survive the most difficult environments. The unique die-cast aluminium chassis functions as a heat exchanger to cool the sensitive electronics without the need to circulate outside air through the inverter. The die-cast aluminium case is gasketed and completely sealed against moisture intrusion and is impervious to the most tenacious earthbound life forms thus eliminating most of the major causes of inverter failure. The GTFX is also available in a "vented" version that can be used in high ambient temperatures to 60°C without reduced output ratings

Outback GVFX Inverters

OutBack GVFX series are a ventilated version of our original sealed FX series modular "building block” sine wave inverter/charger that can be used for both small and large power systems. By allowing cooler outside airflow through the internal electronics, more AC power is available and operation in extremely hot environments is improved compared to the sealed FX series.

Each OutBack GTFX or GVFX inverter/charger is a complete power conversion system - DC to AC inverter, battery charger and AC transfer switch. Additional GVFX inverter/chargers can be connected at any time in either parallel (120 VAC), series (120/240 VAC), or three-phase (120Y208 VAC) configurations. This allows a system to be tailored to meet the specific power conversion requirements of the application, both at the time of the installation and in the future.

The OutBack VFX series is also available in export versions with 230 VAC, 50 hz output that can be connected in parallel (230 VAC) or in three phase (230Y400 VAC) configurations. Like the GTFX series, the OutBack GVFX is also designed to survive harsh environments around the world. The full screened vent openings are "bug-proof" and the die-cast aluminum chassis protects and keeps the power conversion components cool in very hot environments even when operated at high power for extended periods.

The GVFX can be used in high ambient applications up to 60oC (with reduced output ratings). The OutBack GVFX series inverter/charger system is designed for both residential and commercial stand-alone or back-up power applications with battery energy storage.

It is designed to operate as a coordinated system with the other OutBack products i.e. the PSDC, PSAC and PSR enclosures as well as the MX60 MPPT charge controllers and MATE system controller and display
