Surrette Battery Company Limited is one of North America's leading lead-acid battery manufacturers. Established in 1935, with a production facility in Salem, Massachusetts, Surrette relocated to Canada in 1959 and is the Nation’s only remaining independent battery manufacturer. Sizing Considerations:

Total Capacity is the battery's capacity to 100% depth of discharge, example if you require 500 AH to 50% D.O.D. the total Capacity required is 1000 AH.

A battery will last 300% longer if the DOD is no greater than 20%. Therefore if you require 500 AH and want to keep DOD to 20% you will require a total capacity of 2500 AH.

Battery capacity is measured at 25⁰C (77⁰F) if your batteries are stored in a cold environment (e.g. outside temperatures in winter) battery capacity is diminished by temperature.
